    European trip #9: Swiss Countryside

European trip musings #9: What is better than 49 pictures of the Swiss town of Lucerne? How about 49 pictures of the Swiss countryside from the passenger seat of a car??? 😝🤓😁😎 I love thoroughly documenting my travels through pictures. Even if it is from a moving car! I love going back and looking at the images, and then taking a few moments to remember the places that I have been. I absolutely adored the Swiss alps region. For a girl who has lived in FLA (flat!) all her life, these mountains were breathtaking. These photos were taken on the day that we traveled to Täsch, where we would then take the 12 minute train ride to Zermatt. #swisscountryside #swissalps #bycar #windowview #europeanvacation

    Stamps of Life: Welcome card

I created this Welcome card using products from the Stamps of Life. I used the pineapple2stamp clear stamp set, along with the pineapple2stamp die set. I used alcohol markers for coloring the pineapple. I then used Spellbinders nesting dies, and patterned papers for the background.

  • California: Bixby Creek Bridge

    California: Bixby Creek Bridge

As a huge fan of California, one of my favorite places is Big Sur. Mountains and the Pacific are soothing sights and sounds for me. A beautiful icon of the are is the Bixby Creek Bridge, one of the most iconic photographed bridges in California. This bridge sits just south of Carmel, in Monterey County, as part of US 1. Prior to the bridge being built in 1932, residents of the area were practically cut off during the winter months, due to roads being impassable. It is a single-span, concrete arch bridge, that is over 700 feet long, and over 260 feet high. The bridge and surrounding area also served as a filming location for the HBO series, Big Little Lies.

European trip #8: Moxy Hotel in Sion

European trip musings #8: We arrived at our hotel in Sion, Switzerland, after the afternoon we spent in Lucerne. We chose this area, as it wasn’t far from Zermatt, and it was also a good stopping point on our way to Italy. The Moxy is a Marriott property, and if there are any in the United States, I, personally, have never seen, nor heard, of them. This was a super cute hotel, with fun pop culture type decor. The room itself was not overly large, as you can see, but it was plenty for us. We had a lovely view of the Swiss countryside out of our window. The hotel had a small bar area, where you could get a drink or a small bite to eat. I had to get my picture with Phoebe’s Swiss sister, of course! 🦩🩷#swisshotel #switzerland #europeanvacation #hotel

    Airports: LAX – Sunset News

This airport convenience store in one of the terminals at LAX caught my eye as I recognized the name as the magazine of the same name. What I really loved was the tiled column and wall, which looked to be tiles modeled after pieces cut out of a magazine. As many airports as I see throughout the year, I always enjoy seeing unique architecture or art in the various airports. What is likely a convenient spot to grab a bottle of water for the plane, to me is a great exhibition of pop art.

    Disney x BaubleBar: Belle

Stunning statement Belle earrings that I have had since 2021. This collab between Disney and BaubleBar will have you truly feeling like a princess. These gorgeous earrings show stunning detail of Belle’s infamous yellow ball gown, so there is no mistaking which princess this is.

European Trip #7: Lion of Lucerne

European trip musings #7: As we left Lucerne, we stopped for a few moments to see an iconic monument. Confession: thanks to social media, I have discovered sights that I would like to see in different places…and the Lion of Lucerne was one of those sights. Designed by Bertel Thorvaldsen and created in 1820–21 by Lukas Ahorn, this rock sculpture commemorates the Swiss Guards who were killed in 1792 during the French Revolution, when revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris. It is one of the most famous monuments in Switzerland, and is visited annually by over 1 million tourists. #lucerneswitzerland #rocksculptures #outdoorart #lionoflucerne

  • Toms: Plain & Patterned

    Toms: Plain & Patterned

As much as I hate to admit it, I have been a Toms girl. I went through some crazy ordering spree a couple years ago and bought a bunch of pairs. Here are some of the ones that I bought at the time. The pumpkin pair was probably my favorite. However, that pair was lined (similar to the lining Uggs uses), which is not hugely practical for west central Florida….even in the fall! ;p
